Gimbalequipment
A motorized mount that keeps the camera level and steady while you move — for smooth video.
A gimbal uses motors and sensors to counteract your movement, producing gliding, handheld video without shake. It's a video tool (stills shooters lean on IBIS/tripods instead). Balance the camera on it first, then it does the rest. Heavier rigs need a sturdier gimbal rated for the weight.
Use this when
- Smooth handheld video / walking shots: gimbal
Common mistake: Not balancing the camera before powering on, which strains the motors.
